Firewood Sales

By June 2025, the Agricultural Commissioner will provide cost-saving information and resources to avoid firewood sale scams to a minimum of 1,000 homes in neighborhoods of county that heavily rely on firewood.

Obtain maps from the Monterey Bay Air Resource District that indicate areas of the county where residents use wood burning stoves (pending). Create campaign letters and imbed QR code for response tracking. Link QR code to Department website. QR code will direct residence who want additional information to website and allow us to track interest. Mail topical letters to target communities. Letters can be two sided with sides for English and Spanish. Respond to inquires and track website traffic.
