Sewer Cover Inspections

Determined it would be more cost-effective to perform the inspections in-house rather than hiring a consultant. Delayed due to staff shortage and software development for data collection. Sanitation Operations began sewer manhole inspections in December 2021 and to date have inspected 242 sewer manholes. At the current rate, it is necessary to extend the target date by two years to 12/31/25.
By December 2025, Public Works (Sanitation District) will visually inspect 4,682 sewer covers within district boundaries and identify deficiencies per NASSCO (National Association of Sewer Service Companies) standards for rehabilitation/replacement.
